The Sr Developer, Innovations play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native applications that leverage the latest technologies and architectural principles. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices-based applications to maintain and enhance scalability.
• Utilize containerization technologies to package and deploy application components consistently across various environments.
• Implement and manage container orchestration for automated deployment, scaling, and operation of application services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement DevOps practices, including Continuous Integration / Deployment (CI / CD) pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and automated testing.
• Architect and implement solutions that scale horizontally to meet dynamic and changing workloads while optimizing resource utilization.
• Design and implement resilient and fault-tolerant applications, ensuring high availability and quick recovery from failures.
• Implement robust monitoring and logging practices, leveraging tools like Prometheus and Grafana to ensure visibility into application performance.
• Champion API-first design principles, creating well-defined and documented APIs to facilitate seamless communication between microservices and external systems.
• Embrace and apply agile methodologies for rapid and iterative development cycles, responding quickly to changing requirements and delivering high-quality software.

I had a reset meeting with Rachna regarding her open Full stack developer need. She had a candidate that they made an offer to and that person had a visa issue and they were not able to move forward. Nothing has really changed regarding the stack or the need. They have had several people take their test and most are just using AI and not understanding the reason why the code is the way that it is. They are not opening the read me files and doing the research that is needed to accomplish the tasks logically. most of what they are testing is front end. React. They are using cutting edge technology and wanting someone that is adaptable. Someone that is wanting to learn and grow with the company. Just because someone has 20 years of experience, doesnt mean they are a Sr developer. Willing to look at more mid level candidates. She had 2 interns that came in last year and they are great. We need someone over that experience level, but need builders and not just people that have been supporting an environment and are fixing bugs. Frontend is React and the backend is Rust, but open that is something that someone can learn. Need to be able to develop in a cloud native environment. 100-150K, but really looking to stay under 130K. Someone with excitement that wants to learn and grow. I would like to turn the heat back up. Biggest challenge is that people don't want to work onsite 5 days a week and we need to find someone that will thrive in that type of an environment. Getting a req back in the system and seeing if we can make an impact. She is frustrated that she hasnt found anyone yet, but she knows that she is picky, but what she is asking for isnt unrealistic.
