Job description

The Program Manager oversees customer strategies and focuses on the entire lifecycle of products and programs, from new product introduction (NPI) to volume production. This role involves building strong customer relationships, driving profitable business growth, and leading Customer Focus Teams (CFTs) to fulfill customer commitments. Candidates must have experience in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) or contract manufacturing (CM) industry.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Focus & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary customer point of contact for resolution management and relationship health.
  • Lead the Customer Focus Team (CFT), prioritizing and monitoring activities.
  • Ensure successful new product introduction (NPI) by following standard processes, managing pricing, and aligning customer expectations. Follow standard processes, manage pricing, and align customer expectations to ensure a
  • Gain insights into customer markets and competitive landscapes.

Program Execution & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish and track KPIs for inventory turns, E&O, and PPV.
  • Manage recurring pricing activities and negotiate terms with customers.
  • Oversee demand planning, aligning customer needs with internal capabilities.
  • Monitor quality metrics (e.g., DPPM, DPU, DPMO) and drive corrective actions for escapes or defects.
  • Conducted executive and quarterly business reviews, ensuring all stakeholders were well-prepared.
  • Ensure contract compliance, including payment terms, penalties, cost reduction targets, and warranty obligations.
  • Financial Management

  • Drive objectives related to cost savings, profitability, and risk mitigation.
  • Manage inventory exposure, pricing variances, and supply chain strategies.
  • Ensure accurate quotations and alignment between quotes and actual costs.
  • Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of accountability and performance improvement.
  • Set measurable goals and assess team outcomes regularly.
  • Promote lean practices and identify opportunities to streamline processes.
  • Qualifications

    Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or business.
  • At least 3 years of experience in EMS or CM industries.
  • Proven ability to manage global business operations.
  • Skills & Competencies

  • Strong customer service and client management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Teams conferencing tools.
  • Effective negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Analytical and financial acumen, including risk analysis and project management.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and lead diverse teams.
  • Additional Requirements

  • Travel : Up to 25%, including international trips.
  • Must demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and the ability to handle sensitive issues.
  • Must-Have Skills

  • Experience in EMS or CM industries.
  • Strong understanding of productivity tools.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting global business operations.
