Job description

Part-Time Center Assistant Wanted! Sylvan Learning Center of Piedmont is looking for a fun, dedicated Center Assistant to help our teachers, students and staff. The Center Assistant is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day administrative tasks in the center, motivating and energizing students, and assisting teaching staff.

20-25 hours per week Monday-Friday (proposed schedule: 2 PM-6:45 PM). Saturday morning/afternoon availability is a plus.

Essential Job Functions:

Greets and assists students, parents, and potential customers as they come into the Center
Support the In Center team with preparing materials for parent conferences, assessments, tours, and other customer appointments
Manage day-to-day tasks of running the Center such as administrative tasks and maintaining Center supplies
Supports standards and procedures to ensure student safety and well-being
May assist teachers with preparation for instruction; gathers and prepares materials as appropriate
Flexibility and adaptability are a must, ability to multi task is a must
We are looking for HIGH ENERGY and leadership qualities, in order to engage and direct our students

Knowledge Required:

Associates degree preferred
Experience working with children, tutoring experience a plus
Ability to connect with students and motivate them
A passion for education and student success
A minimum of one year of customer service experience; Retail sales experience preferred
Knowledge of general office equipment such as copiers, printers, and office phones
Being punctual is extremely important. You must be local and have reliable transportation
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
