THE ROLE:
The Customer Operations Account Manager plays a critical role in strengthening AMD's relationships with our direct customers and distribution partners. This role operates at the intersection of supply chain, sales, planning, and customer engagement—ensuring seamless execution across order management, forecasting, supply, and product lifecycle transitions. You will work closely with internal teams and customer stakeholders at multiple levels to drive operational excellence, improve business continuity, and deliver an exceptional customer experience. This is a highly collaborative, fast‐paced environment where you will help customers navigate supply, demand, and lifecycle challenges while supporting AMD's strategic growth.

You bring a customer‐first mindset, strong analytical judgment, and the ability to communicate clearly with both internal teams and customer executives. You are proactive, organized, and skilled at managing conflict and influencing cross‐functional partners. Your ability to build strong, trust‐based relationships enables you to drive outcomes that benefit both AMD and our customers. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Oversee customer backlogs, resolve order/supply issues with cross‐functional teams, and manage operations across the full product lifecycle (NPI through EOL).
- Optimize demand/supply alignment, inventory levels, DOI, and revenue forecasting through data‐driven analysis of consumption trends and ordering patterns.
- Build and maintain strong customer and internal relationships, lead operational reviews (including QBRs), and drive cross‐functional projects and process improvements.
- Enhance operational excellence by adopting new tools and practices, sharing best practices within the team, and resolving issues effectively in fast‐changing environments.
- Strong background in customer operations, supply chain, or account management within tech or semiconductor environments.
- Proficiency with advanced Excel; familiarity with Power BI and PowerPoint.
- Experience leading cross‐functional projects and driving process improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive‐level messaging.
- Proven ability to influence, resolve conflicts, and build trust with customers and internal partners.
- Strong analytical mindset with comfort managing complex dependencies.
- Ability to thrive in fast‐paced, uncertain environments and adapt quickly to change.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
