Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Database Analyst / DBA to provide analytical and operational support for data-related projects. This position will work with information from multiple systems and data sources to analyze, validate, organize, and improve data quality.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large datasets, spreadsheets, databases, and case management systems. This role requires strong analytical thinking and the ability to identify data inconsistencies, investigate problems, recognize patterns, and recommend or implement appropriate solutions.
The successful candidate should also be able to work independently, troubleshoot data-related issues, manage multiple assignments, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze, review, and validate data across databases, spreadsheets, case management systems, reports, and other information sources.
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity.
- Investigate data discrepancies, anomalies, missing information, and quality issues to identify potential causes and appropriate resolutions.
- Manipulate and analyze large datasets using Microsoft Excel and other available tools.
- Organize, filter, reconcile, summarize, and present data for operational and management purposes.
- Maintain spreadsheets, reports, tracking tools, queries, and other resources used to monitor data quality, project progress, trends, and outcomes.
- Update and maintain information within databases and case management systems based on verified information and established processes.
- Support data management and system improvement projects by gathering requirements and understanding business needs.
- Determine appropriate analytical approaches and produce accurate, actionable results.
- Perform quality assurance reviews to identify recurring data issues and opportunities to improve data integrity, processes, documentation, and reporting.
- Document analytical methods, findings, data limitations, discrepancies, and completed work.
- Communicate findings, questions, and potential data concerns clearly to supervisors, subject-matter experts, and other stakeholders.
- Handle confidential information in accordance with applicable policies, procedures, and data security requirements.
- Support project management activities related to data and system improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve data issues.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including:
- Formulas
- Filtering and sorting
- Lookups
- PivotTables
- Working with large datasets
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies, patterns, outliers, and data quality issues.
- Ability to understand relationships between information stored across multiple systems, reports, spreadsheets, and data sources.
- Ability to quickly learn unfamiliar databases, case management systems, business processes, and data structures.
- Ability to independently organize work and manage multiple assignments through completion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to explain data findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Required Experience
3–5 years of relevant experience.

Education
Preferred: Bachelor's degree preferred.
