Job Description

Insight Global's healthcare client is looking to bring on a SQL Tech Lead to support their UM efforts. This role serves as a player/coach technical lead responsible for translating functional and non‑functional requirements into scalable technical solutions. Day to day, you’ll partner closely with Business, Product Owners, BAs, and Architecture to analyze requirements, perform impact assessments, design API and application orchestrations, and produce technical solution documentation. You’ll lead and mentor a team of developers, review code and unit tests, author business rules and backend SQL/PL/SQL logic, and ensure adherence to quality, design standards, and strategic best practices. You’ll participate in Agile ceremonies, support release planning and production deployments, and lead root cause analysis and resolution of production issues, including war‑room support when needed.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on SQL development experience
• Strong experience authoring business rules using InRule (or similar BRMS)
• Expertise with SQL Server and Oracle PL/SQL (stored procedures, functions, packages)
• Proven experience serving as a technical lead or player/coach
• Ability to translate functional and non-functional requirements into technical designs
• Experience producing and reviewing technical solution documentation
• Strong code review, unit testing, and quality assurance practices
• Experience supporting releases, deployments, and production issue resolution
Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments (PI planning, standups, sprint ceremonies)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Healthcare domain experience
• Experience with Oracle Forms (Developer 2000), Crystal Reports, TOAD, SQL Loader
• Experience working across Oracle versions (9i/10g/R12)
• Background in API orchestration and integration design
