Position Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities : Opportunity to be a key member of a global and dynamic team. Participate in next generation modern database environment using cutting edge cloud technologies.

This role will be responsible for :

• Design, test, document and implement innovative scalable database services and solutions in cloud.
• Architect, Maintain and monitor hundreds of Oracle, SQL Server and other database technologies using automation
• Utilize a variety of tools to assess DB health, performance and capacity to help and orchestrate auto scaling, self-healing, High Availability.
• Standardize operations across disparate product lines at the DB tier for installation, configuration, maintenance, backup, recover, monitoring, troubleshooting, capacity planning and security as per the product requirement and industry best practice
• Perform duties in compliance with Deltek, industry, and regulatory security and compliance standards as defined
• Work with cross-functional teams to assist in application and host optimization
• Provide expert-level performance analysis, troubleshooting and enhancements.
• Respond effectively to high priority tasks, issues and incidents when needed
• Automate regular database administration, management and maintenance activities
• Initiate, plan, maintain and organize project assignments, schedule and milestones of substantial variety and complexity that diverse business problems of high complexity
• Lead the way in adopting emerging database technologies, evaluate and implement technologies and solutions in Deltek Cloud Database platform.
• Technically lead, guide and train internal and external teams
• Work independently and with global team members on highly specialized projects
• Provide on-call support as required

Qualifications

Qualifications : Ideal Candidate will have :

• US Citizenship required for this role.
• 12+ years of Oracle DBA (Database Administrators) experience with experience in 12 and 19C using multitenant technologies.
• 4+ years working in cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
• 2+ years of working on other RDBMS technologies (MSSQL, MySQL, Postgres, etc.)
• Extensive expertise in Oracle Database System and can drive, optimize database platform and can guide and lead any Database Related Project.
• Degree in computing field or equivalent, with at least ten years in the IT field
• Good skills with the development of automation (PowerShell, PL-SQL, shell scripting, etc.)
• Preferred Experience in working with DEVOPS tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins
• Extensive experience in using Oracle Data Guard, Grid Infrastructure, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Data Broker and multitenancy.
• Experience in large scale database management design and best practices
• Strong knowledge of all layers of the technology used for database technologies (hardware, storage, networking, etc.)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent time management and prioritization skills with the ability to escalate concerns or questions to proper levels
• Strong data driven analytical skills

Nice to haves :

• Experience using Splunk and App Dynamics tools
• Software development experience in other languages
• Knowledge in Infrastructure as code (IAAS) methods
