POSITION SUMMARY

Serves as a second-level supervisor / management official and Deputy Assistant Inspector General (DAIG) for Management and Administration responsible for a wide range of management and administrative activities within the Office of the Inspector General (OIG).

Leads a multi-disciplined staff of various mission enabling career fields and specialties, and plays a critical role in a culture focused on innovation and inclusion by capitalizing on strengths of the workforce to achieve exceptional mission outcomes.

Strategic thinking, superior business acumen, and exceptional inter-personal skills are essential to this role. POSITION DUTIES

This position is located in Reston, Virginia and is with the Office of the Inspector General (OIG), Management & Administration Division (OIG1).

This position may require a writing assessment, which will be factored into the hiring decision.

Responsible for organizing, supervising, and directing work through subordinate supervisors, OIG's business management operations, human capital, workforce development, information technology, records management, and staff operation functions.

As DAIG for Management and Administration, represents the OIG on external committees and working groups within the Intelligence Community IGs, DoD IGs, and Federal IG Community.

Responsible for the execution of decisions made by the Inspector General (IG) and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) through the Assistant IG for Management and Administration;

review accomplishments for timeliness and acceptability; provide advice and instructions; and ensure the IG's directives, instructions, and policies are carried out.

Oversee day to day operations of OIG's Programming, Planning, Budgeting & Execution activities; Talent Management and Acquisition efforts;

Information Technology modernization initiatives; and Staff Operation functions. Lead staff in the planning, management, and organization of all essential information and materials to assist senior management in the execution of daily mission objectives.

Additionally, responsible for OIG's Manager's Internal Control Program.

Lead the OIG Production Team in planning, management, and coordination of the development of OIG products by overseeing the review, research, writing / editing, coordination, and collaboration on time-sensitive information, correspondence, papers, policy, and briefing materials in response to taskings and action items from internal and external sources.

Drive efficiencies through standardization, modernization, and streamlining OIG deliverables. Conducts briefings and meetings to provide technical advice and assistance regarding management and administration matters.

Collaborate and coordinates program activities with Agency mission enabling support personnel to achieve mutual objectives.

Oversee staff in the review, planning, and development of responses to email, correspondence, action items and taskings;

lead, plan, and manage priorities and response progress, coordination, and collaboration; oversee the tracking of progress against actions from internal and external sources.

Oversees various special projects to meet unique OIG strategic implementation planning requirements; to identify future concerns, issues and requirements;

and to develop strategies to accomplish the mission.

Exercises a high degree of originality and judgment in accomplishing responsibilities that contribute significantly in guiding and shaping the future of the OIG.

Lead a team of professional staff and integrates office performance on our goals & objectives on quarterly basis, collaborate and provide feedback on personnel development.

Serves as Council of the Inspector General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) liaison and other engagements for OIG.

1. Experience supervising or leading a multi-disciplined mission enabling support staff.

2. Experience leading teams through conflict utilizing critical conversation and coaching techniques to effectively resolve the situation.

3. Experience working with or in support of an OIG within the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, or Federal OIG Community. QUALIFICATIONS :

Basic Requirements :

You must possess 1 year of specialized experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the next lower qualifying band or equivalent GS / GG level, which is directly related to the position being filled.

Your experience must demonstrate possession of the necessary knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position.
