Our transportation organization is actively seeking a driver recruiter who can create a pool of qualified candidates and hire drivers who meet company standards and are a good cultural fit.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to build and develop strategies that attract and retain qualified drivers, specifically supporting our entire private fleet network comprised of over 300 power units across the United States.

Location : Union City, GA or Grand Rapids, MI

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure UFPT attracts, hires, and retains the best drivers while growing a strong talent pipeline
• Initiate driver leads by networking, calling prospects, and building relationships as part of a coordinated recruiting strategy
• Work in collaboration with operational leaders to meet recruiting needs and hiring objectives
• Manage and maintain open job requisitions and candidates within Workday, utilizing reports and metrics to ensure effectiveness & efficiency
• Responsible for screening, qualifying, and selecting Company Driver applicants for driver positions
• Review driver candidate applications for job fit and compliance and conduct phone interviews to evaluate skills for potential placement
• Develop constructive and cooperative relationships with Tractor / Trailer Driving schools, their instructors, and leaders
• Communicate our driver opportunities to prospective candidates
• Ability to present and portray UFP Transportation's vision and strategy during formal and informal events
• Manage ad posting process and tools
• Work with Safety Department and fleet personnel to ensure all required application files are obtained and submitted
• Performs duties consistent with the Company’s policies and in compliance with regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, Emphasis on Human Resources a plus
• Minimum 1+ years’ experience in recruiting; 2-5 years preferred
• CDL Truck Driver recruiting experience highly preferred
• Knowledge of FMCSA driver qualification and hiring rules
• Experience with Workday ATS and TenStreet highly preferred
