Job Title

Vos missions en quelques mots

The position is under the authority of the head of the technical division of the sub-direction of demining and his deputy. The holder of the position participates in the functioning of the center and contributes to the achievement of objectives in terms of pyrotechnic and environmental quality and safety. He defines, drives and implements actions aimed at the management of installations classified for the protection of the environment (ICPE) (storage site, destruction and centers) operated by the sub-direction of demining. The geographical perimeter is the North zone. In this capacity, the holder of the position has the following main missions:

• Prepare authorization requests to operate, modifications, operation reports, cessation of activity files, including the restoration of sites;
• Expertise the safety and danger studies of the exploited sites;
• Ensure compliance with the provisions of prefectural or ministerial orders, on file and on site, and write reports of visit as well as opinions;
• Contribute to the evolution of normative texts.

Activities of the service

The Directorate General for Civil Protection and Crisis Management is the central structure responsible for risk management in France, whether it is accidents of daily life or major disasters. It has civil and military personnel distributed over 60 sites. It is organized into 4 directions/sub-directions:

• The Directorate of Firefighters (DSP);
• The Directorate of Preparation, Operational Conduct and Crisis Management;
• The Directorate of National Means (DMN);
• The Sub-direction of International Affairs, Resources and Strategy (SDAIRS).

The DMN includes the Sub-direction of Aerial Means, the Sub-direction of Land Means and the Sub-direction of Demining. This last one coordinates the activity of the 27 centers and demining branches whose main missions are:

• The research, neutralization and destruction of war remnants;
• The neutralization and elimination of improvised explosive devices in the context of counter-terrorism;
• The participation in the securing of official trips and major events;
• The assistance to specialized intervention groups (RAID, BRI, GIGN).
