Job descriptionLoad, unload and move products and materials, manually or using material-handling equipment Performs duties such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing and unpacking various products and materials Opens containers, verifying received orders, assists in the filling of orders, assists in taking inventory, and weighing and checking various items Pull and pack product for fulfillment of non-identical mailings using appropriate USPS standards, BGEA Response Center requests, telecast offers and other special mailings Receive, sort and distribute US mail to appropriate individual / department(s) Pick up inter-departmental and outgoing mail at designated floor locations for sorting in the mail center and subsequent delivery Assists in all aspects of production mailing operations, which include hand filling envelopes and mail pieces, matching names and letters, creating kits for mailings Maintains clear, continuous communication with the Inventory and Fulfillment Supervisor Provide assistance to mailing and fulfillment Supervisors, as directed Assist onsite with other special events (this may require flexibility in scheduling) Cleaning the production area, as needed Other duties as assigned High School Diploma or 1 year of experience in a production environment Familiarity with warehousing functional and safety environments Experience as a forklift driver preferred Ability to interpret and follow instructions Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel Ability to communicate effectively with staff of all levels of the association Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to take initiative with required tasks, delivering the requested results Ability to perform functional math, including basic calculating with an understanding of fractions and decimals Ability to relate to people well, being approachable, as well as have the ability to manage administrative tasks simultaneously Ability to frequently lift 70 lbs Ability to sit, flex or stand for a prolonged period of time Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to changing job parameters, interruptions, or directions Capacity to prioritize work and manage multiple projects in a high-paced environment Ability to work efficiently and productively under deadline Work is typically performed in a warehouse environment, around machines and in close proximity to people Working closely with others as a team Working with equipment to process mail and orders Availability to work overtime when necessary We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God revealing the love of God to the world. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female. We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism. We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellowmen. (Psalm 139 : 13; Isaiah 49 : 1; Jeremiah 1 : 5; Matthew 22 : 37-39; Romans 12 : 20-21; Galatians 6 : 10). We believe God wonderfully and immutably creates each person a biological male or female. These two distinct, but complementary sexes together reflect the image and likeness of God. Rejection of one's biological sex is a rejection of God's merciful design and creative order. (Genesis 1 : 26-27; Mark 10 : 6; 1 Corinthians 6 : 9; Deuteronomy 22 : 5). I acknowledge that the Lord Jesus Christ is my personal Savior and that I am a personal representative of Him. Whether you work at our headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, North Carolina, the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove (BGTC) in Asheville, North Carolina, Blue Ridge Broadcasting (BRB) in Asheville, North Carolina or a field office abroad, you are part of a team of committed Christians working together to reach people to the ends of the earth with the Gospel.
CHRISTIAN PURPOSE AND EXPECTATIONS :

Department Detail - Distribution Services is located on the campus of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association headquarters and occupies approximately 15,000 sq.ft. in a fast-paced production and mail handling environment serving all ministry areas of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. BGEA Distribution Services provides multifaceted printing, mailing and order fulfillment services. Responsibilities also include shipping and receiving of materials, controlling larger quantities of inventory while supporting multiple ministry platforms as they proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ...Always Good News.
Job Summary - The position requires using powered and non-powered equipment to move, stock, and issue materials. Additional responsibilities include counting materials, and packing products and recording inventory transactions using inventory software. The Associate supports order fulfillment, book gift offers and other production run processes.
