From initial assessment to customized aftercare, McLeod Centers provides compassionate, steadfast support for our patients’ journey to recovery. We are looking for passionate people to join our team!
McLeod Centers for Wellbeing is currently searching for a Full-time Counselor to work with the Adolescent Outpatient / SAIOP program at its headquarters in Charlotte.
How will you help us achieve our mission? You will :
- Be at the forefront of crafting person-centered treatment plans for patients in all stages of recovery.
- Play a pivotal role in monitoring and evaluating client progress, adjusting treatments as necessary for optimal outcomes.
- Lead individual and group counseling sessions to support both patients and their families.
- Connect patients with vital support services, such as medical evaluation, mental health, and social support. Your impact will extend beyond our doors!
- Participate in clinical supervision sessions to foster your professional growth and development.
What are the qualifications needed for this role? :
We're looking for a minimum Master's degree-level fully licensed or associate licensed Family Counselor (LCAS, LMFT, LCSW, LCMHC). The ideal candidate will also have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with the adolescent population in a clinical setting, as well as at least 1 year of experience specifically working with individuals facing substance use challenges. Additionally, we're looking for a candidate with a strong interest in justice services, the ability to engage and support adolescents in overcoming substance use issues, and also a strong understanding of the intersection of substance use, mental health, and justice involvement.
What we offer you as an employee :
Research indicates that women and underrepresented groups tend to apply for jobs only when they believe they meet 100% of the qualifications. At McLeod Centers, we encourage you to challenge this statistic and apply. It's rare for anyone to meet every qualification. We look forward to hearing from you!
