Bilingual Recruiter - On Site

$36.00 - $41.00 / hour

As a Bilingual Recruiter, will represent Corovan's brand and aid in recruiting and hiring talent. Whether you are mining resumes via a resume database, pre-screening applicants or networking with employees to obtain referrals, you will have an eye on the staffing needs of Corovan. Responsible for sourcing, screening and hiring candidates and collaborating cross-functionally to build and refine internal partnerships.

The Bilingual Recruiter is responsible for making a significant contribution to the strategy of recruiting, for finding qualified candidates and for helping convince qualified candidates to join our team. Must be comfortable with full cycle recruiting and using the HRIS system to track candidate status.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Recruiting:

  1. Full life cycle recruiting to include sourcing, screening and hiring talent including dispositioning of candidates in ATS, currently using UKG.
  2. Ability to phone screen candidates for key requirements and competencies.
  3. Document recruitment activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and other relevant metrics to ensure compliance with hiring regulations and laws, including OFCCP.
  4. Schedule interviews, develop offers for candidates selected by the client, extend and process offers.
  5. Discuss with hiring manager and provide insight about candidate's profile, market information.
  6. Understand and apply policies and procedures.
  7. Obtain leads through networking, interviews and other means.
  8. Prepare new hire paperwork including completing new-hire checklist, as needed.
  9. Aid with written and verbal translation from English to Spanish, as needed.
  10. Schedule new hire orientation and onboarding, as needed.
  11. Work with hiring managers to understand job requirements and create job requisitions.
  12. Identify creative ways to attract candidates to open positions.
  13. Use excellent judgment to evaluate candidate's skills and capabilities.
  14. Recruit passive candidates and develop pipeline of candidates.

Marketing Strategy:

  1. Develop a talent pipeline through community and university partners.
  2. Develop a go to market strategy, promoting Corovan as an employer of choice within the communities we serve while canvassing local neighborhoods and establishments for potential candidates.

Training/Communication with managers and employees:

  1. Coaching managers on how to assess, attract and onboard candidates effectively.
  2. Partner regularly with Human Resource colleagues. Assist with administrative and strategic tasks and projects as needed.
  3. Travel as needed to support recruitment and hiring at the San Jose and San Leandro branches.
  4. Other duties as assigned.

Customer Relations:

  1. Build solid relationships with internal team members and a wide range of stakeholders across Corovan to manage expectations.
  2. Provide outstanding customer service to internal and external partners, including all prospective and current employees.
  3. Request background checks and drug screens upon offer acceptance, as needed.
  4. Perform follow up calls with recently hired employees.
  5. Develop and maintain positive relationship with internal clients, employees and applicants.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, or combined equivalent experience with years of proven experience.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience attracting, recruiting and hiring talent or related experience.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience managing talent via an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) or related experience.
  • Experience conducting intake sessions and partnering with hiring managers or related experience.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Must have excellent organization skills, attention to details, and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with others, partner well.
  • Project Management and tracking skills.
  • A valid state driver's license and meet the requirements of the Driving Policy on Use of Employee's Personal Vehicle for Company Business Policy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience aligning to a high volume non exempt population.
  • Experience using HRIS systems to assign training or other HR assignments which may include entry of new hires.
  • Background in employment law with regards to recruiting and other OFCCP government compliance regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REASONING ABILITY - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

1. Ability to handle and safeguard sensitive and confidential information required.

2. Ability to meet operational deadlines, including monthly hire goals.

3. Great people judgment and ability to relate to people of all backgrounds and experiences.

4. Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) software is a plus, proficient in Word, Excel & Power Point.

5. Excellent communication interpersonal skills. Strong customer/ client focused.

6. Ability to effectively communicate with prospected new hires in both English and Spanish.

7. Ability to translate job descriptions, recruitment ads and other materials from English to Spanish.

8. General understanding about Human Resources operations.

9. Strong talent focus and ability to sort through applicant background, skills, interests, motivation and culture fit for the role/company.

TRAVEL:

As required, the employee can travel less than 25% to other worksites and or recruiting locations. A valid driver's license is required for this position. This position will require to be on-site at both locations, San Jose and or San Leandro based on the recruiting needs of the location.

PRIMARY LOCATION:

San Leandro. At times, there maybe days in SJ based on recruiting needs to back up another recruiter.
