Medical Staff Credentialing Coord - FT- Days
SUMMARY :
Coordinates the credentials and re-appointment process. Acts as Medical Staff Coordinator responsible for the Credentials Committee, serving as essential link and resource between senior management and medical staff to coordinate the operational processes and ongoing credentialing, privileging, and medical staff governance functions of the Medical Staff Department.
Responsible for review, analysis and follow up of credentialing and privileges applications, maintaining strict confidentiality and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and accrediting and regulatory agencies.
REQUIREMENTS
1. 2 years’ experience in an acute care hospital environment with experience, preferably in a Medical Staff Office
2. Medical Staff Certification (CPMSM or CPCS) desirable
3. Working knowledge of Joint Commission, title XXII, NPDB, MBC, DEA
4. Familiar with Word, Excel, Micro Med desirable
5. Ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate diplomacy, discretion, confidentiality, tact and sound judgment
