Job description

Tensilica Platform Product Marketing Tensilica IP

As Cadence evolves its Tensilica Processor IP family to address growing demand for AI at the edge, we are seeking a strategic product marketing leader to help shape the next generation of the Tensilica IP portfolio. The Product Marketing Manager will play a strategic role in shaping the roadmap, positioning, and market success of Cadence's current and next-generation Tensilica extensible processor IP. This role sits at the center of product strategy, customer insight, and go-to-market execution, translating market requirements and technology trends into differentiated product direction and stronger business outcomes.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of embedded processors and target markets such as automotive, IoT, and mobile, along with the ability to partner effectively with customers, sales, and engineering teams. Success in this role will require identifying emerging opportunities, influencing future product investments, strengthening competitive positioning, and helping drive customer adoption of Tensilica technology in high-growth applications including DSP, AI, and embedded software workloads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and drive product success by aligning customer needs, market opportunities, and go-to-market execution, while ensuring the delivery of complete product solutions including collateral, software libraries, RTOS support, demo platforms, competitive analysis, and field enablement assets.
  • Lead strategic customer engagements across Cadence by developing differentiated positioning, how-to-win strategies, and value propositions that support growth in priority accounts and segments.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and define future product requirements for Tensilica's extensible processor technology, with a focus on strategic growth areas such as automotive, IoT, and mobile.
  • Influence product priorities and enhancement decisions by partnering closely with marketing, engineering, and sales to align investments with customer needs, market trends, and business goals.
  • Serve as a strategic communicator and advocate for the business by authoring and coordinating regular updates to field applications engineering and sales teams on product direction, technology innovation, and industry developments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in engineering, applications engineering, product management, or product marketing, with expertise in one or more of the following areas: embedded processor architectures, SoC design, processor IP, or embedded software tools including C/C++ compilers, debuggers, and RTOS environments.
  • Deep experience with at least one major embedded processor architecture, such as ARM, Xtensa, or RISC-V, is required.
  • Knowledge of Digital Signal Processors, machine learning, and AI workloads is required.
  • Familiarity with C/C++ programming is highly desirable.
  • Proven success working across cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders in engineering, sales, and marketing.
  • Strong strategic thinking, personal initiative, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business and customer value.
  • Ability to meet any role-specific work authorization or compliance requirements, if applicable.

Travel:

Occasional domestic and international travel will be required to meet with customers and support industry events.

The annual salary range for California is $203,000 to $377,000. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
